What are the distinguishing features of NMC Isotube 040 PU pipe insulation?
The pipe insulation Isotube 040 consists of round-shaped PU rigid foam that is covered with a plastic sheathing. The insulation can be used in heating and plumbing in accordance with the EnEV (German Energy Saving Ordinance). The PVC coating gives the pipe insulation a high-quality appearance and at the same time protects the foam from damage. For which applications do I need 50% EnEV?
Isotube 040 is equipped with a self-adhesive closure system, which considerably reduces the processing time, especially for already installed lines.The low thermal conductivity of the PU rigid foam reduces heat loss from plumbing and heating installations by up to 80 percent. This not only increases the economic efficiency of the entire system, but also its ecological efficiency.
What do the abbreviations Fe and Cu mean?
Some insulation is specially designed for iron (or steel) and copper pipes; these are marked with the letters Fe for iron and Cu for copper in the variant selection.
