Wall elbows for connecting the shower hose
The so-called wall connector elbow is needed to connect the shower hose to the water pipe. It is called a connector elbow because there is a threaded connector under the cover to which the hose is screwed. This type of hose connection is almost exclusively used with concealed fittings, since the hose is connected directly to wall fittings. The connection elbow can also have a backflow preventer to prevent used water from flowing back into the drinking water pipe of the house. This risk does not exist in the shower, which is why this function is particularly recommended for use in the bathtub. The hose connections are generally standardized and come with a 1/2-inch thread, to which any standard shower hose can be connected. Even different manufacturers can therefore be combined without any problems.
