What characterizes the NMC Climaflex XT PEPipe insulation?

The XT version of the Climaflex pipe insulation is self-adhesive on both sides so that it can be easily stuck together after being wrapped around the pipe – this saves up to 50% of the installation time. It consists of closed-cell polyethylene foam and can be used in heating and plumbing applications in accordance with the German Energy Saving Ordinance (EnEV).

Climaflex is a professional insulation for saving energy and reduces heat loss from distribution lines by up to 80%. In addition, thanks to the properties of PE foam, the insulation offers sound-absorbing properties to reduce cracking and flowing noises in pipes.

For which applications do I need 50% EnEV?

To keep the energy loss of a house as low as possible, the insulation of pipes is mandatory. You need 50% insulation according to EnEV, especially within heated rooms, because the temperature loss of a pipe is limited there. We have listed the areas in which such insulation is used:

For which applications do I need 100% EnEV?

100% insulation according to EnEV is particularly important in unheated rooms, as well as for hot water pipes or pipes in external walls. These are precisely the places where there is a high risk of heat loss, because in cold weather the influence of the outside temperature is higher than in a heated interior. What do the abbreviations Fe and Cu mean?
