Shower hoses for connecting a hand shower
So. Now you have a nice hand shower, a shower holder and a hose connection. What you still need to complete it is a shower hose. There are a few things to consider here. First, of course, the length: for the bathtub, the hose rarely needs to be longer than 125 cm if it is only to rinse it out. If the hose is used for the shower, at least 150cm is recommended, in rare cases even 200cm. Shower hoses are also available in different colors and finishes. You can either go for the familiar chrome-look striped design or opt for a smooth matte silver surface, which is easier to clean.A shower hose is primarily a water-carrying element, but it can also offer other functions. These include a built-in swivel joint that prevents the hose from being twisted. This can cause damage over time and is not particularly attractive. Hoses with swivel joints cost hardly any more, but they definitely pay off in terms of appearance and durability. If you absolutely cannot compromise on robustness, you can opt for a metal shower hose – but with good care, a plastic one will last just as long, especially since the manufacturers on offer provide very good quality anyway.
