Exposed cisterns
The Geberit cistern in the form of a surface-mounted flush
In contrast to a concealed cistern like the Geberit Duofix, exposed cisterns are not located behind a wall, but are mounted in plain view above the toilet. At first glance, this may seem less elegant, but it is often the standard in older bathrooms, so you may not have any other choice in a new rental apartment. Maintenance is at least very easy, since you can simply remove the cover to access the inside of the cistern. In addition, surface-mounted cisterns are very affordable and replacing them with an existing cistern is quite easy.In small rooms, exposed cisterns are also used as storage surfaces for toilet paper pyramids, hygiene products and air fresheners. Not everyone necessarily likes this, but maybe you are looking for a new storage option for your freshly crocheted toilet roll warmer. We have surface-mounted cisterns from Geberit, one of the most renowned manufacturers when it comes to reliable flushing technology. However, should a part of your cistern ever be defective, you will also find the appropriate spare parts in our shop. However, for installation in a new bathroom, we generally recommend a concealed cistern, as these are simply more modern and visually appealing.
