Use a mild soap solution for cleaning. Do not leave the toilet seat and hinges in a wet state, but dry them with a soft cloth afterwards. Contact of the seat/lid and hinges with toilet cleaners or abrasive or corrosive cleaning agents containing chlorine can cause damage or rust film. Therefore, always fold up the toilet seat and lid until the cleaning agent has been rinsed away.
